Grading system employs evaluation of students' academic performance, clinical skills, and professional behavior. This system ensures that all assessments are graded fairly and consistently across different courses and instructors. Below is an outline of the grading system and key components.

2. Components of Grade


Student performance is assessed through various components, depending on the course's nature and objectives. These may include:
  • Quizzes and Examinations:
    Written tests that assess knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.
  • Laboratory Work:
    Practical assessments that evaluate technical skills and application of theoretical knowledge in a laboratory setting.
  • Clinical Rotations:
    Evaluation of clinical skills, patient interaction, and professional behavior in a real-world healthcare setting.
  • Assignments and Projects:
    Assessments of the ability to apply dental knowledge in problem-solving, research, and presentation of findings.
  • Participation and Professionalism:

3. Final Grade Calculation

4. Pass/Fail Courses

5. Academic Progress


To progress through the DDS program, students must maintain a pass grade as specified above and / or in course syllabi. Failing to meet this requirement may result in academic probation, remake exam, course remediation, or dismissal from the program.

Students who believe their grade does not accurately reflect their performance may appeal the grade in accordance with the grade appeal process. This process is detailed in the student handbook, outlining the steps to submit an appeal and the review procedure.

7. Reporting and Transcript
